The number of victims of a train collision with a microbus in the Abdel Salam Bridge district in the Faqous Center district in the Sharkia Governorate, has increased to 3 deaths and 9 injuries of various types, between medium and serious, as a result of a train collision with a microbus in front of the Abdel Salam Bridge area in the area of Akiad Bahariya village, Faqous Center.
Major General Mohamed Salah, Director of Eastern Security, received a notification from Major General Mohamed El-Gamsi, Director of Criminal Investigation, stating that a signal had been received by the Sharkia Governorate Diwan operations room, stating that a report had been received of a train collision with a microbus in front of the crossings of the village of Akyad Al Bahariya, Faqous Center, and the accident resulted in the death of a woman. Her daughter and a third person were injured, and 9 others were seriously injured. The two bodies were taken to the Faqous Central Hospital mortuary, and the injured were given first aid.
Initial investigations revealed that while a microbus driver was crossing the railway track in the Abdel Salam Bridge area, which is affiliated to the village of Akyad al-Bahriya, the train coming from Zagazig to Faqous collided with him.
The bodies and the injured were transferred to Faqous Central Hospital, and the security services moved to the Al-Balagh site, and a security cordon was imposed on the incident, and investigations are underway by the investigation authorities.
