Chelsea Football Club is an English football club located in Fulham, London. The club was founded on March 10, 1905, and plays in the English Premier League. The team has been playing since its inception at Stamford Bridge, which has a capacity of 41,837 spectators.

The club achieved its first success in 1955 by winning the league championship, followed by winning the cup several times during the sixties, seventies and nineties of the last century, as well as at the beginning of the current century. The team has enjoyed a prosperous period of success over the last two decades by winning fifteen titles since 1997. At the local level, the team has won the English Premier League title 6 times, the FA Cup 7 times, the League Cup 5 times, and the FA Shield 4 times. At the continental level, the team has won the European Cup Winners' Cup twice, the European Super Cup twice, the European League twice, as well as the European Champions League twice. Chelsea is the only London club to win the Champions League, one of the four teams and the only British team to win the three major European titles, in addition to being the first team to win the two major European championships together.

The team wears a dark blue uniform and white socks. The team crest has been changed several times in an effort to improve its image and keep up with the modern era. The current crest, which shows a standing lion with a stick, is a modified version of the one that appeared in the 1950s. Chelsea have maintained their position as the fifth most attended team in English football, with an attendance rate in the 2012-13 season of 41,462, the sixth highest in the Premier League.

Chelsea FC has been owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich since July 2003. In April 2013, Forex magazine ranked it seventh in the list of the richest club in the world with a value of 588 million euros ($901 million), an increase of 18% over the previous year. He was crowned the Champions League champion for the second time in its history after defeating Manchester City in the final of the 2020/2021 season.

the beginning

The first photo of a team in 1905
In 1904, Gus Mears acquired Stamford Bridge Sports Ground and resolved to convert it into a soccer field. He offered to rent him to Fulham, but his offer was rejected, so he chose to establish his own team to use the stadium. Since the region contained a club named Fulham, it was decided to name the new team after Chelsea after other names were suggested such as Stamford Bridge, London Club and Kensington Club. Chelsea was founded on the 10th of March 1905 at The Racing Sun Pub (now The Butcher Hook) across from the main entrance to present-day Fulham Road. Immediately after that, he was selected to participate in the Football League.

The team ascended to the First Division in its second season, and swung between the first and second divisions during its first years. He reached the FA Cup final in 1915, losing to Sheffield United at Old Trafford, and finished the 1920 season in third place in the First Division, which was the team's best season until that time. Chelsea drew crowds and gained a reputation for buying top players, but success eluded them in the interwar period.

Achievements start
Former Arsenal and England striker Ted Drake was appointed manager of Chelsea in 1952 and has continued to modernize the team. He removed the club's previous crest, developed a youth training and preparation system, rebuilt the team by making smart deals from the lower tiers and amateur leagues, and led Chelsea to its first success at the tournament level, the League Championship in the 1954-55 season. The following season, UEFA established the Champions League but Chelsea were persuaded to withdraw from the competition before it began after objections from the Football League and the FA. Chelsea failed to maintain this success and spent the rest of the 1950s mid-ranking. Drake left the team in 1961 and was replaced by former coach and player Tommy Docherty.

Docherty built a new team of talented players emerging from the youth team, and Chelsea competed for several championships during the 1960s. The team was on its way to achieving a triple: the League, the League Cup, and the FA Cup by reaching the final stages in the 1964-1965 season, winning the League Cup, but it failed to achieve the other two championship titles. Chelsea have been defeated in three seasons in the semi-finals of three major tournaments, as well as the runner-up title in the FA Cup. He also won the FA Cup in 1970 under the leadership of Dave Sexton, Docherty's successor, after defeating Leeds United 2-1 in the final. In the following season, the team achieved its first European success by winning the European Cup Winners' Cup after defeating Real Madrid in the second leg of the final in Athens.

landing period
The end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties were a difficult period for Chelsea FC. The eagerness to develop Stamford Bridge threatened the team's financial stability, and the club sold its star players and was relegated to the Second Division. The club suffered even more problems caused by a fanatical element known as sports fanaticism that troubled the team during this decade. In 1981 Chelsea hit rock bottom and businessman Ken Bates bought him for £1 even though the team had lost ownership of Stamford Bridge to the developers and thus land. On the field, the team came close
