The Egyptian artist, Hisham Selim, died Thursday, at the age of 62, after a struggle with cancer, according to a number of Egyptian media outlets.
And the captain of the Egyptian Artists Syndicate, Ashraf Zaki, published a picture of the late artist Hisham Selim on his account, documented on the “Instagram” platform, and wrote: “Goodbye, old friend.”
And Egyptian media quoted Zaki as saying that Selim died at the age of 62, indicating that his funeral will be held after the afternoon prayer in Sheikh Zayed City, Giza Governorate.
Hisham Selim's acting roles varied, and his first film appearance was in the movie "Empire of M" 1972, then he participated in the films "I Want A Solution" 1975, and "The Return of the Prodigal Son" 1976.
Hisham Selim began his television career in the late eighties of the twentieth century and presented the series "Al Rayat Al Bayda", "Layali Al Helmeya", "Arabesque", "Hawanem Garden City", "Places in the Heart", "Meeting on the Air".
His last work was in the last Ramadan drama season, through his participation in the series "A Counterattack" by the star Ahmed Ezz.

Hisham Selim was born in Cairo in 1958, his father is the famous player and later the actor Saleh Selim, and his brother is Khaled Selim, the husband of the artist Yousra.
He graduated from the Institute of Tourism and Hotels in 1981, and did free studies at the Royal Academy in the British capital, London, and after he finished studying, he returned to acting again after a hiatus of years.
A few weeks ago, the name of the artist, Hisham Selim, topped the social networking sites, after news circulated about the deterioration of his health after he was diagnosed with cancer.
Last May, Hisham Selim revealed that he had cancer through an audio recording that was shown in one of the artistic programs.
