The unified committee to test reciters and supplications on Egyptian radio and television suspended reciter Mohamed El Selkawy.
Today, the committee, headed by Muhammad Nawar, head of the radio station, issued a decision to remove Al-Salkawi, who is accredited to the radio, from the map of foreign broadcasts, evenings, and Quranic recordings for a period of one year, starting today.
The committee explained, according to the “Ilam.com” news website, that the reason for the endowment “came due to what he did by reading the Holy Qur’an in an inappropriate way and movements that are not commensurate with the sanctity of the Book of God, in addition to his lack of proficiency in intonation rulings.”
Yesterday, the Syndicate of Holy Qur’an Reciters and Memorizers, headed by Sheikh Muhammad Hashad, the sheikh of all Egyptian reciters, issued a statement, commenting on the circulation of a video clip of one of the certified reciters of the Holy Qur’an on the radio reciting the Holy Qur’an with movements that are not befitting of the Book of God.
The union said, in its statement: “A video of a radio reader reciting the Holy Qur’an from Surat Al-Shura spread through social media, and during the recitation he makes movements that are not appropriate for the Book of God. public against this reader.
The union had confirmed, earlier, that it “has not and will not tolerate anyone who tempts himself to violate the provisions of recitation or reading without knowledge, especially those who insist on that, and do not fear a day when they will return to God.”
