From his Premier League debut against Watford, to his 200th strike at Crystal Palace, and 198 goals in between including the UEFA Champions League final in Madrid, a hat-trick against Manchester United and Old Trafford and world-class strikes against Manchester City, Chelsea & more!

Ivorian Didier Drogba, one of the legends of African football, spoke about the new achievement achieved by Mohamed Salah by entering the list of the top 10 scorers in the history of the English Premier League.

Drogba, who shined in the ranks of Chelsea, was the most prominent African player to appear in the English Premier League, before Salah came to break many of his records.

Drogba re-published his own tweet from 2017 in which he predicted Salah’s history in the English Premier League.

The tweet was in December 2017 after Salah won the Best African Player award presented by the BBC, in which Drogba said: “You deserve it, brother. I am very proud of you, a legend in the making, the best is yet to come.”

Drogba commented on his old tweet, saying, “I tweeted that six years ago, and the rest is history, Salah.”

He added, "Congratulations, brother, on your new achievement of reaching 150 goals in the English Premier League. May you always be blessed."

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah scored a goal against Crystal Palace in the match between them on Saturday at Selhurst Park in round 16.

That goal wrote many historical numbers for Salah, which came as follows:

** Salah became the tenth top scorer in the English Premier League in history with 150 goals, equal to former Liverpool and Manchester United star Michael Owen.

Newcastle star Alan Shearer is the English Premier League's all-time top scorer with 260 goals.

Salah is separated from ninth place, which is occupied by Jermain Defoe, by 12 goals, and 13 goals from Robbie Fowler, who ranks eighth.

Salah is also separated from Thierry Henry, Arsenal’s all-time top scorer, who ranks seventh in the standings, by 25 goals.

** Salah reached his 200th goal in his career with Liverpool, becoming the fifth player in the club’s history to achieve that achievement.

Salah is separated from fourth place, which is occupied by Billy Liddell, with 28 goals.

Ian Rush is Liverpool's all-time top scorer with 346 goals.

The former Basel star began his seventh season with Liverpool, which he joined from Roma in the summer of 2017.

In 327 matches in which he participated with Liverpool in various competitions, Salah scored 200 goals and made 86 goals.

He won seven titles with the team, the 2019 Champions League, the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup in the same year, then the English Premier League in the 2019-2020 season, the League Cup, the FA Cup and the Charity Shield in 2022.
